Tanguay and Carlsson Coming Back To Toledo

Rockford, Ill.- Chicago Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard announced on Tuesday that defenseman Jonathan Carlsson and center Maxime Tanguay have been re-assigned from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League to the Toledo Walleye (ECHL).
Tanguay, 21, was on Rockford’s opening day roster for his AHL and professional debut before being sent to Toledo on Oct. 5. He was then brought back to the IceHogs and chipped in right away notching one point (1a) in the 6-3 win over Abbotsford on Nov. 14. The former third-round pick (#69 overall) by the Chicago Blackhawks has skated in three games for the IceHogs.
The Lac Etchemin, Quebec, native has appeared in 12 games for the Walleye this season. He ranks third on the team with 14 points (5g-9a).
Carlsson was in Rockford rehabilitating an upper-body injury. The Uppsala, Sweden native has been held scoreless in six games while recording six penalty minutes with the IceHogs during the 2009-10 campaign. The 21-year-old was drafted by the Blackhawks in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft in the sixth round (#162 overall).
The blue liner has skated in three games with the Walleye before aggravating an injury on Nov. 7. He has notched two points (1g-1a) for the IceHogs’ ECHL affiliate.
Walleye Get Travis Ehrhardt From Grand Rapids Griffins

Jason GriffinGRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday reassigned defenseman Travis Ehrhardt from the Grand Rapids Griffins to the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL.
Ehrhardt, 20, shows one assist, 13 penalty minutes and a plus-three rating in eight games with the Griffins this season. A native of Calgary, Alberta, he made his professional debut in 2008-09 by skating in three games for the Manitoba Moose after completing his final junior campaign with Portland of the Western Hockey League. Ehrhardt led the Winter Hawks’ defensemen in all scoring categories with 37 points (9-28—37) in 68 games last season.
Ehrhardt will be available to make his ECHL debut Friday when the Walleye host the Florida Everblades at 7 p.m.

Jason Griffin(TOLEDO, OH) – The Toledo Walleye have announced a trio of roster moves as they prepare for two home games at Lucas County Arena this weekend versus the Cincinnati Cyclones.
Head Coach Nick Vitucci has activated Mike Hedden from injured reserve for tonight’s game versus Cincinnati. In nine (9) games this season with Toledo, the 24-year-old from St. Catharines, Ontario has 3 goals and 1 assist to go along with 10 penalty minutes.
The Walleye today also announced that they have waived LW Brandon Naurato and Center Tommy Lange.
Naurato had two assists in five games this year with Toledo.
Lange had played in 10 games with Toledo, scoring four goals and adding four assists to go along with 15 penalty minutes.
The Walleye begin a stretch of eight home games in 16 days this Friday, November 20th at 7:00 pm versus the Cincinnati Cyclones. The Walleye face the Cyclones again on Sunday, November 22nd at 5:30 pm.

In order to make room for the previous players, left winger Jonathan Trottier was released by the Walleye. He did not play with the Walleye following a hand injury during training camp.
The Walleye begin a stretch of eight home games in 16 days this Friday, November 20th at 7:00 pm versus the Cincinnati Cyclones. The Walleye face the Cyclones again on Sunday, November 22nd at 5:30 pm.

Three Gone from Tonight's line up

Matt MelzakToday the Walleye roster gets a little smaller as defenseman JC Sawyer, forward Maxime Tanguay, and goaltender Alec Richards have been recalled to Rockford.
That means both Tommy Lange and Justin Hodgman, who were out last night, will be in tonight. Jordan Pearce will start in goal.
Mark Nebus, who played a little defense in college at Wayne State will slip to defense at times tonight.

Matt MelzakCurrently on the bus headed to Cincinnati. For tonight's game, Jordan Pearce will start in goal, defenseman Justin Suda and forward Brandon Naurato will not play.
Tonight's game features a interesting special teams match up. Toledo's power play comes in third in the ECHL at 29.6% (16 goals in 54 chances) against the Cyclones penalty kill which is the only team left in the league not to allow a power play goal (29 for 29).
