Cyclones Inflict Damage on Walleye, 7-4, in Saturday's Pre-Season Game at Tam-O
10/10/2009 - Toledo, Ohio – The Toledo Walleye dropped the puck on their home pre-season schedule, hosting the Cincinnati Cyclones at the Sylvania Tam-O-Shanter.
Down 2-0 in the first, LW Maxime Tanguay lit the lamp on a short-handed goal, and Toledo used a power play tally by C Adam Hobson to tie it up heading into first intermission. The Cyclones regained a two goal lead in the second period before Toledo tied it up 4-4 on goals from RW Jonathan Trottier and Hobson.
A power-play goal by Cincinnati's Mark Voakes -- his fourth of the night -- in the second proved to be the game-winner; the Cyclones scored twice more in the third for the 7-4 final score.
The Walleye host the Port Huron Icehawks on Sunday (4:00 p.m. at The Ice House). Tickets are available; call 419-725-WALL or order online.
