First Annual 'Teddy Bear Toss' a Success! Hundreds of Bears Collected for Charity!
11/20/2009 - Fans were in store for a "bear-y" good time on Friday, November 20th. It was the inaugural Teddy Bear Toss. The Toledo Walleye & BCSN asked fans to bring a new stuffed animal to the game and throw it on to the ice after the first Walleye goal. Many of the bears will be given to our friends at Lucas County Children Services to give to kids in need. Walleye players will also deliver some of the bears to patients at Toledo Children’s Hospital in December. The game was delayed when Mike Hedden scored midway through the second period.
