Area Students Compete in 'Design a Walleye T-Shirt Contest'! Vote For Your Favorite!
1/19/2010 - The Toledo Walleye would like to thank all area students who submitted artwork for the first-ever "Design a Toledo Walleye T-Shirt" contest. The field has been narrowed down to three high school finalists (Sarah Kobyiak from Notre Dame Academy, Jasmine Patrick from Woodward High School, and Nate Kim from Bowling Green High School) and three Elementary/Middle School finalists (Nicholas Williams from Brynedale Jr. High, Griffin Preuss from Whiteford Elementary, and Savannah Compton from Genoa Middle School).
The initial submissions were narrowed down by Walleye staff members to three finalists per category. Licensed vendors have created artwork based on the concepts and designs submitted and fans are now asked to vote on their favorite designs.
The winning design will be printed on a T-shirt and be made available for purchase in the Swamp Shop! The Walleye will donate 20% of the proceeds made on the winning shirt during the 2010-11 hockey season to the winning student's school!
Vote for one design in the 'high school' category and one design in the 'elementary/middle school' category! Voting will end on February 1, 2010. Winners will be announced in a special pre-game ceremony on February 27.
