'Battle of the Badges' hits the ice Saturday, 11/23!

Support the Toledo Police and Fire Departments as they hit the ice for the third annual Battle of the Badges hockey game at Huntington Center, taking place Saturday, November 23 at 4 p.m. The Walleye take the ice at 7:15 p.m. Tickets are available at a special rate of $13 and are good for both games! A portion of each ticket sold will benefit Police and Fire Department charities!

First Responder Safety Night: Saturday, November 23

In addition to the Battle of the Badges exhibition game, we will be celebrating our Toledo Police and Fire Departments throughout the afternoon and evening.

Toledo Police and Toledo Fire volunteers will be on hand to demonstrate public safety during a fun and interactive pregame event at the Huntington Center, running from 2 to 6 p.m.:

  • Activities will include tours of current and antique firetrucks and equipment, interactive games and and obstacle course
  • Special appearances from Stranger Danger from the Toledo Police and Sparky the Fire Dog and the interactive Sparky Robot from the Toledo Fire Department
  • Activities will take place in the Aquarium and on Huron Street just outside of The Aquarium
  • Pregame "Safety Day" events are free!

Remember to bring Teddy Bears to the November 23 Walleye game for the annual Teddy Bear Toss! Teddy Bears collected will be given to the Lucas County Children Services and the Toledo Police Department.

YOU WILL NOT WANT TO MISS A VERY SPECIAL PREGAME CEREMONIAL PUCK DROP FROM THE TOLEDO FIRE DEPARTMENT.
