Bid farewell to “The Joe” on Friday, March 31

Our NHL affiliate, the Detroit Red Wings, will be moving into their new digs next season. Join us on Friday, March 31 at the Huntington Center as the Toledo Walleye will make a special T-Town Hockey farewell to “The Joe”.

On April 9, 2017, the Red Wings will say goodbye to one of the most iconic arenas in all of sports, Joe Louis Arena. Named after boxer Joe Louis, "The Joe" first opened its doors in 1979, replacing the former Olympia Stadium. Next season, the Red Wings will begin play at Little Caesars Arena, which is currently under construction.

On March 31, fans will experience familiar in-game elements throughout the night at the Huntington Center to pay homage to the Red Wings and the end of an era at “The Joe”.
