Catch All-Star fever at the Skills Competition and Team Draft

The excitement is ramping up towards the 2019 CCM/ECHL All-Star Weekend, presented by ProMedica, on January 18-21! Join us at the Huntington Center on Wednesday, December 12 for the 'Walleye Intrasquad Skills Competition' and on Sunday, December 16 for the 'Hooks and Fins All-Star Team Draft' event. The Skills Competition and Team Draft events are presented by Charlie's Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram and Grogan's Town Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram

 

WALLEYE SKILLS COMPETITION

On Wednesday, December 12 the Walleye hosted an instrasquad competition with players competing to represent Toledo during the All-Star Skills Showcase on January 21. 

  • Fastest Skater presented by Charlie's Dodge: Tyler Spezia, Bryan Moore
  • Best Shot Accuracy presented by Grogan's Towne: Greg Wolfe, T.J. Hensick
  • Hardest Shot presented by Charlie's Dodge: Matt Register, A.J. Jenks

 

ALL-STAR TEAM DRAFT

Will you be cheering for team 'Hooks' or team 'Fins' at the All-Star Classic? On Sunday, December 16 we'll be hosting a special live team draft event at the Huntington Center as the 'Hooks' and 'Fins' rosters will be selected for the All-Star Classic game on Monday, January 21. The draft will take place at 4 p.m.

Fans who have already purchased packages for the 2019 CCM/ECHL All-Star Weekend, presented by ProMedica, are invited to pick up their All-Star tickets beginning at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 16 in the Aquarium at the Huntington Center.

The team draft event on December 16 is open to the public. It’s FREE to anyone who has purchased an All-Star package or is part of the FINatics or Flock membership clubs. For the general public, it’s a $5 entry fee with proceeds to benefit the Walleye Wishing Well.

Shane Berschbach will be captain of Team Hooks, while A.J. Jenks will be captain of Team Fins.  

 

2019 CCM / ECHL ALL-STAR CLASSIC & SKILLS COMPETITION

The 2019 CCM/ECHL All-Star Classic and Skills Competition will take place at the Huntington Center on Monday, January 21, 2019. The event will feature a 3-on-3 tournament with four teams competing for the top spot. Walleye players will make up two of the four teams (Hooks and Fins) and will face-off against two All-Star teams featuring players from the ECHL's Eastern and Western Conferences. The 2019 CCM/ECHL All-Star Skills Competition, presented by Charlie's and Grogan Towne's Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram, will take place during the intermission break between both the 1st and 2nd round and the 2nd and 3rd round.
