Last second goal lifts Walleye over Wings
A last second goal from A.J. Jenks lifted the Walleye over Kalamazoo by a score of 3-2. The Walleye lead the series 3-2 with Game 6 set for Sunday in Kalamazoo.
The first period was knotted with no score until Kalamazoo’s Cameron Darcy got one past Paterson on the power play at 16:33. Toledo recorded ten shots on goal in the initial frame.
Zach Nastasiuk, with a highlight-reel move, tied the game at 10:14 of the second on his first goal of the postseason. Justin Agosta and Alden Hirschfeld were credited with the helpers.
Kalamazoo would retake the lead 2-1 at 16:29 of the second. The back-and-forth game continued when Tyson Spink netted his third of the postseason, tying the game at 2.
The third period saw no goals until A.J. Jenks recorded his first of the postseason, putting the Walleye ahead 3-2 with 23 seconds remaining.
