Walleye add forward Conner Crisp
Forward Connor Crisp has agreed to terms with the Toledo Walleye for the 2017-18 season.
Crisp, drafted in the third round of the 2013 NHL Draft, joins the Walleye after spending last year with the Brampton Beast with 33 points (14G, 19A) and 60 penalty minutes over 43 contests. As part of the Canadiens organization the last three years, Crisp has also appeared in the AHL with seven contests last year. Over his pro career, the Alliston, Ontario native has 106 career games played with 18 goals, 22 assists and 193 penalty minutes.
“Connor is a pure power forward with good size and speed,” Head Coach Dan Watson said. “He will go into the corners and get dirty with a flair to score goals when out in front of the net.”
Prior to entering the professional ranks, the 6’2”, 220 pound forward spent four years in the OHL between Erie and Sudbury. In 184 contests, Crisp scored 55 goals, 42 assists and 308 penalty minutes. The 23 year old went for a career best 55 points (28G, 27A) with Sudbury in 2013-14 while playing as a plus 11 for the Wolves.
