Walleye fall to Nailers
Toledo fell to the Nailers 4-2 in front of a sold out crowd on Saturday night. Machovsky stopped 30 of 34 shots and is now 2-4-0-1 on the season. Toledo is now 14-7-2-1 on the season and 7-3-0 at home.
Wheeling opened the scoring to take a 1-0 lead at 13:32 of the first period. The Nailers extended their lead 2-0 at 13:44 of the first.
Erik Bradford put the Walleye on the board with a goal at 2:58 of the second period to make it a 2-1 game. The Nailers regained the two-goal lead at 6:42 of the second to make it 3-1. Kyle Bonis pulled the Walleye within a goal to make it a 3-2 game at 15:24 of the second.
Wheeling took a 4-2 lead at 2:52 of the third period.
- Toledo is on the road Friday in Brampton for a 7:15 p.m. puck drop. They return home Saturday for a 7:15 p.m. puck drop against Atlanta and Sunday for a 5:15 p.m. puck drop against Kalamazoo.
