  • Fifth Third Field will be transformed into an "outdoor hockey arena"
  • A full size ice rink 200' x 85' will stretch across the infield with the two goals near third base and first base
  • Team benches will be in the outfield facing home plate
  • The Walleye will play the First Two Outdoor games in ECHL history!

Toledo Walleye Winterfest is a community event benefitting the entire Toledo Region. Many organizations are planning to participate, including: the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo, Imagination Station, The Toledo Symphony, The Toledo Zoo, the Toledo Museum of Art, the MetroParks, and area colleges and universities.

Fireworks and other activities are being planned and dozens of local hockey and broomball teams will also participate.

PLANNED ACTIVITIES

What are the planned activities?

Most activities are still in the planning stage, but we can confirm that the very first Outdoor ECHL hockey games will be played on the home field of the Toledo Mud Hens on December 27, 2014 vs. Kalamazoo and January 3, 2015 vs. Fort Wayne. Times and opposing teams are yet to be determined. Game times have not been announced. The comprehensive schedule of all activities will be announced on this site in July of 2014.

TICKET PACKAGES

How can I get tickets to the Toledo Walleye Winterfest outdoor hockey game and other Winterfest events?

Toledo Walleye and Mud Hens Game Plan holders have the first chance to reserve Winterfest ticket packages. Packages include both Walleye games, a hockey experience Fanfest at Huntington Center and admission to an outdoor open skate event. A limited number of ticket packages will be made available to the public at a later date.

As a full season Walleye Game Plan holder, is the Walleye Winterfest package included in my 2014-15 Game Plan?

Yes. The additional cost of the Walleye Winterfest package will be added to the price of your 2014-15 Game Plan. You will have tickets to 34 games at Huntington Center plus the two Outdoor games at Fifth Third Field. You will also receive two (2) regular season game vouchers as a bonus, good for any 2014-15 game except Opening Night. (A great chance to invite additional friends to a game.)

I'm a partial season Walleye Game Plan holder. Will Winterfest packages be included in my plan?

Yes. The additional cost will be included in your plan and you will automatically receive the Walleye Winterfest package, good for the two Outdoor games as well as the Fanfest and open skate. You will also receive two (2) regular season "bonus" game vouchers.

What is the additional cost for a Toledo Walleye Winterfest Package?

For Ice Level Walleye Game Plan holders, these packages are $75 each for Ice Level tickets. ($95 each for Walleye Club Level Game Plan holders.)

As a Walleye Game Plan holder, can I purchase additional Walleye Winterfest ticket packages?

Absolutely! In fact, you have the very first opportunity to reserve up to ten (10) additional Winterfest Ticket packages: two (2) Walleye outdoor hockey games, a hockey experience Fanfest at Huntington Center, and an Open Skate on the outdoor rink.

I'm a Mud Hens Game Plan holder. Will Winterfest packages be included in my 2014 or 2015 Game Plan package?

Ticket packages for the Walleye Winterfest outdoor hockey game are not included in your Mud Hens Game Plan package. But, as a Mud Hens Game Plan holder, you will have the first opportunity to purchase up to ten (10) Toledo Walleye Winterfest packages.

I'm not a Game Plan holder for the Walleye or Mud Hens. How can I reserve ticket packages for the Toledo Walleye Winterfest?

The best way to guarantee the opportunity to purchase Walleye Winterfest ticket packages is by securing a Toledo Walleye or Toledo Mud Hens Game Plan. We know there's a plan that will work for you! Game Plan consultants will discuss all the options at 419-725-9255.

Can I buy a combo Game Plan that includes both Mud Hens and Walleye tickets for the 2014-2015 season?

Yes. There are many options. Our Game Plan consultants are available at 419-725-9255 to assist and advise you on your Toledo Walleye and Toledo Mud Hens Game Plan.

SEATING LOCATIONS

As a Toledo Walleye Game Plan holder, will I be able to pick my seats for the Walleye Winterfest outdoor hockey game?

Toledo Walleye and Toledo Mud Hens game plan holders will have the first opportunity to reserve packages for the best available seats for the Walleye Winterfest outdoor hockey games. Seating will not be assigned until early 2014.

I am a Toledo Mud Hens game plan holder. Will I have my normal Mud Hens seats for the Toledo Walleye Winterfest?

Because all Walleye and Mud Hens Game Plan holders can reserve up to ten (10) additional ticket packages, we won't be able to guarantee your regular Mud Hens seats, but they will be comparable. No seats will be assigned until early 2014. Contact your game plan consultant for more information.

Where are the best seats to see the Toledo Walleye Winterfest outdoor hockey game?

Our spectacular Mud Hens ballpark downtown is the perfect venue to transform into a professional outdoor hockey rink. With nearly 9,000 seats close to the playing field, everyone will have a great view of the action. No matter where you sit, this history-making event will provide a unique perspective on the game.

Will there be seating close to the action, like along the boards?

We are currently evaluating all angles and views at the ballpark and options for seating. We would love to give our fans the opportunity to sit close to the action, as long as they don't block others. More information on specific seating will be available in the near future. GROUPS AND PARTY SUITES

I'd like to bring a group to a Toledo Walleye Winterfest outdoor game. Will group tickets and seating be available?

I want to rent a party suite during a Walleye Winterfest outdoor game. Are there any rental suites available?

There may be a limited number of rental suites available for the Walleye Winterfest hockey games on December 27 and January 3. SPECIAL EXPERIENCES

I know the Toledo Walleye offers fan experiences like Zamboni Rides, Bench Seats, etc. Can I reserve a fan experience for the Toledo Walleye Winterfest outdoor hockey games?

There will be a limited number of fan experiences available for the Toledo Walleye Winterfest outdoor hockey games. If you are interested in reserving a fan experience, please contact Mike Keedy at 419-725-4526 or mkeedy@toledowalleye.com.

I would like to experience the outdoor ice rink during the Walleye Winterfest. Is that possible?

TEAM PARTICIPATION

My child plays youth hockey. Can we schedule his team to play a game at the outdoor rink at Fifth Third Field or Huntington Center during the Toledo Walleye Winterfest?

Teams that would like more information on the Toledo Walleye youth hockey program can contact Mike Keedy at 419-725-4526 or mkeedy@toledowalleye.com. Youth hockey teams that are currently participating will have the first opportunity to schedule ice time during the Walleye Winterfest.

Can we schedule our high school hockey or broomball team to play a game on the outdoor rink at Fifth Third Field or Huntington Center during the Walleye Winterfest?

Can my college team, club team or adult hockey league play a game at the outdoor rink at Fifth Third Field or Huntington Center during the Toledo Walleye Winterfest?
