Three win week leads Toledo to 20 wins before New Year: Toledo won the first three games of a four-game week which allowed the Walleye to reach 20 wins before the end of 2017. This is the third time in the last four seasons that Toledo has had 20 wins prior to January 1st (17-9-1-3 in the 2015-16 season).

December ends: Toledo finished with another winning month ending December 7-5-1. The last time the Walleye did not have a winning month was April 2014 when the team went 0-5-1 to finish the 2013-14 season a span of 24 consecutive months.

Bradford produces huge month: Forward Erik Bradford led all Walleye players in points in December with 12 (7G, 5A) over the 13 contests. Three times during the month he posted a multiple point contest. Charlie O’Connor led all Toledo rookies with seven assists and was a plus seven. Defenseman Davis Vandane led the Walleye with a plus nine for the month.

Salute to the Captain: Toledo will host the Cincinnati Cyclones on Friday night on Alden Hirschfeld bobblehead night. The first 2,000 fans will pick up the Captain replica prior to the Walleye game against the Cyclones. Toledo is 2-1-0 vs. Cincinnati so far this season.

Wizardly weekend: Saturday is Toledo’s Harry Potter tribute night and the Walleye have their lone meeting of the season with Manchester coming that night. Special jerseys and wizardly like stuff await the Monarchs at the Huntington Center that night. Come dressed in your favorite wizard or muggle costume and get ready to catch the #WalleyeSnitch.
